Most people agree that replacing lost teeth is important but aren’t sure how to go about it. That’s where it pays to get the input of a trustworthy dentist. At Dynamic Dental, we recommend replacing missing teeth with dental implants due to their strength, durability, and natural-looking appearance. Implant dentistry has made major advancements over the years, making it a better solution than ever for restoring your smile. Drs. Ricardo Andrade and Denisse Montalvo are the dentists to see for implants in the Sacramento, California, area.
If you’re considering your options for replacing lost teeth, here are some of the advantages of going with implants:
Implants provide the closest resemblance to natural teeth because they replace your tooth’s crown and its roots. The implant functions as an artificial tooth root and is surgically inserted into your jawbone to securely anchor your new tooth. Your ceramic restorations will have the color and sheen of natural teeth, allowing them to blend in seamlessly with your smile. Drs. Andrade and Montalvo will customize restorations that are virtually indistinguishable from your natural teeth.
Implant dentistry offers additional features, including comfort and stability. Once implants fuse with your bone system, they function like real tooth roots to keep your new teeth securely in place when you talk, laugh, bite, and chew.
Implants give you the chewing power of natural teeth, allowing you the freedom to enjoy all kinds of foods. Crispy, crunchy, and chewy foods are not a problem for implants. You also never have to worry about your teeth accidentally coming loose!
In addition to keeping your new teeth secure and stable, implants support jawbone health by stimulating your jaw when you bite and chew to promote jawbone growth and regeneration. This helps prevent bone loss. A strong, healthy jaw will improve oral function and preserve your youthful appearance.
Implants work independently of other teeth to improve your smile. They support the remaining teeth in your mouth to keep them in line. Tooth loss creates gaps in your gums where bacteria can breed and cause cavities. Implants fill those gaps to minimize plaque and bacteria buildup. With a complete smile, your teeth will be easier to clean, which will also help reduce the risk of decay and gum disease.
Good oral habits can keep your implants strong for decades or even the rest of your life, so you can look forward to a strong, healthy smile for years!
The overall success rate of implants is high, around 95%. By working with experienced implant dentists like Drs. Andrade and Montalvo, you can have full confidence in the outcome of your treatment.
