As unfortunate as it may be, tooth loss has become increasingly common. Factors like decay, dental trauma, and gum disease can result in losing one or more teeth. By finding the right solution for missing teeth, you can continue to enjoy a high quality of life. For many people, that solution is dental implants. At Dynamic Dental, we recommend implants to our Sacramento, California, patients due to their restorative abilities. Dr. Ricardo Andrade shares some of those abilities here.
Absolutely! Especially if you want a long-term solution to restoring your smile. But first, let’s look at what implants are and what they can do to help you decide if they’re a good choice. Implants are titanium posts that function like artificial tooth roots. Dr. Andrade will surgically insert these posts into your jawbone and give them time to fuse with your natural bone structure. This fusing process gives the implants the strength to support replacement teeth. When the fusing process is complete, we’ll attach connectors (abutments) and your new teeth to make your smile whole again.
With artificial tooth roots, there’s little your new teeth can’t do! Your replacement teeth will have a natural appearance, function, and feel, enabling you to smile confidently and easily. With proper care, your titanium implants can last a lifetime—like real tooth roots—permanently resolving tooth loss issues.
Here’s what makes implants a worthy investment:
