Veneers are thin porcelain shells fitted to the surface of imperfect teeth to improve their esthetics. Teeth that are chipped, cracked, stained, gapped, or misshapen can be given a beautiful new appearance with veneers. Veneers are placed on existing teeth after shaving off a thin layer of enamel to make room for them. They’re cemented permanently to your teeth to transform your smile’s appearance.
Drs. Andrade and Montalvo can use veneers to address several cosmetic issues with your teeth, ranging from tooth stains and discolorations to:
Through porcelain veneer treatment, your Sacramento dentists can bring out the best in your smile. The veneer process is minimally invasive, painless, and quick. Most treatments can be completed in two dental visits. Porcelain veneers are durable, stain-resistant, easy to maintain and long-lasting. They repair teeth that are chipped and cracked and strengthen their structure to prevent chipping in the future. Veneers can correct multiple tooth flaws with the same treatment to save you the cost of additional cosmetic procedures. With good oral care, these restorations can last up to 15 years.
Porcelain is known for its attractive, tooth-colored, translucent appearance, similar to natural tooth enamel. That’s why porcelain veneers look so natural and real. Your veneers are custom-crafted from impressions taken of your teeth for a perfect fit. They’re designed to integrate seamlessly with your real teeth to give your smile a stunning, natural appearance.

The best way to keep your veneers looking their best is to take good care of your teeth. Brush at least twice daily and floss daily to keep your veneers clean. Be sure to see Dr. Andrade or Dr. Montalvo every six months for checkups and cleanings. To prevent accidental damage to your veneers, avoid eating hard foods, stop chewing on ice, and wear a night guard at night if you grind your teeth.
