We are geared towards helping the nervous patient get over their dental anxiety and complete all their treatment in one day within a comfortable environment.
The dentists at Dynamic Dental are well aware of the plight of patients suffering from dental anxiety. This is why we have taken part in the constant search for dental anesthetic solutions that make patients relaxed, happy and comfortable. A painless dental appointment is a more pleasant experience for both patient and dentist. With our anesthetic options, we hope to make your next treatment an enjoyable experience – one that you can even look forward to!
If you fear needles, dental anesthesia is a difficult process. On the one hand, you want to be numb for your procedure, but on the other, you don’t want that anesthetic-loaded syringe anywhere near your mouth! With our Single Tooth Anesthesia device (STA), that shot is completely transformed. The STA delivers anesthetic slowly, painlessly, and precisely to change the way you receive your injection. With the STA, many of our patients aren’t conscious of receiving a shot at all. We started using the STA in 2010 on our most fearful patients; when they had a wholly positive experience, we began using it almost exclusively. The STA has become a key part of our gentle approach to providing dental care.
Unfortunately, past trauma and negative experiences have given many patients dental anxiety. Fortunately, anesthetic options exist for those who would rather not remember their next dental procedure. Oral conscious sedation is taken in pill form, and creates a calm emotional environment. You will remain conscious and able to respond to your dentist during the procedure, but you will likely not remember the procedure afterwards. That means no new dental stress!
Oral conscious sedation is highly safe, inexpensive, and simple. Since lengthy procedures feel like a breeze under sedation, you will be able to undergo complex procedures in one visit to our office. We will administer a local anesthetic to ensure you feel no pain. Simply plan on having a ride home, to avoid driving while sedated.
If you’ve been putting off important dental work due to anxiety, please call Dynamic Dental today. After one appointment with oral conscious anesthesia, you won’t be scared of the dentist again.
Nitrous oxide, commonly called laughing gas, is the most popular form of dental sedation. The patient inhales the nitrous under careful monitoring, falling into a state of total relaxation. Free of worry or anxiety, you will lay back in the dental chair while the procedure speeds by. Safe and effective, nitrous oxide wears off soon after you remove your mask, allowing you to resume your day without delay. If you’re intrigued, set up a preliminary appointment so that your dentist may determine whether you are an eligible candidate for nitrous sedation.
Dynamic Dental offers luxurious patient amenities and extras to help make each visit as comfortable as possible. Though our dental care is of the highest quality, a relaxing setting provides it with an extra boost. Visit our dental office to enjoy:
Though our sedation options cater to the especially anxious, they are available to every patient who fears dental treatment. If you greatly fear pain, have had past dental trauma, or are nauseated by the drill sounds and disinfectant smells associated with a dentist’s office, sedation dentistry will soothe your nerves. Physical limitations like a gag reflex or hyper-sensitive teeth will also make you a candidate. If you’re interested, simply ask your sedation dentist.
You will not be unconscious while sedated, simply deeply relaxed. You will breathe freely and respond to questions easily, while not feeling anxiety or pain. You may have no memory of the procedure after it is finished.
Your sedation will last between 2-6 hours, depending on its strength and the length of your procedure.
A member of our Dynamic Dental team will monitor your vitals at all times, and remain by your side. Safety is a top priority at our practice.
Not at all. The most lingering effect will be a slight grogginess for several hours after some forms of sedation, in which case you will require a ride home. You will feel completely normal within a few hours.
Nearly every procedure is compatible with sedation.
Most sedation-aided dental work requires only two appointments. The first will be a sedation consultation, the second will be to perform the procedures. Some cases may require a follow up appointment.
Most dental insurance plans do not cover sedation. Our Dynamic Dental staff will go over your coverage with you prior to your procedure, and aid you in setting up a financing plan if necessary.
