Common Sleep Apnea Symptoms

If you’re noticing one or several of these symptoms, you may be experiencing sleep apnea.

  • Loud snoring that wakes you or your partner
  • Halting breathing or gasping for air during sleep
  • Dry mouth in the mornings
  • Morning headaches
  • Insomnia
  • Excessive sleepiness during the day
  • Difficulty concentrating

You may be experiencing snoring without it being a symptom of sleep apnea. Schedule a consultation to be examined and learn more about your airway and breathing.

Sleep Apnea Treatment with Oral Appliances

There are multiple types of sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea is treatable with comfortable oral appliances. If you have central sleep apnea, you may require a CPAP or other airway pressure device. That said, obstructive sleep apnea is far more common and it’s likely that an oral appliance will provide relief.

Oral appliances are designed to keep your airway open and allow for consistent, uninterrupted breathing throughout the night. They typically pull your lower jaw slightly forward, which prevents the tissues in your tongue and throat from obstructing your airway.

Silent Nite® Oral Appliance

Silent Nite is an appliance designed to increase space in your airway and allow for smooth, even breathing without snoring. Your appliance will be custom-made from an impression of your mouth, so it will fit well and feel comfortable. You’ll be able to sleep normally and the appliance will rest comfortably in your mouth.
